Recently, Autotrader issued a review of the 2017 Lincoln Continental, observing that the all-new flagship sedan is laying down the gauntlet to other luxury automotive manufacturers such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Cadillac.

Featuring distinctive styling from the outside in, the American icon offers drivers a smooth, comfortable ride no matter which of the three engines you choose. The standard engine is a 3.7-liter V6 that produces 305 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while an available 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 generates 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. If you really want to pack in the power, opt for the available 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 that makes a heart-pounding 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

The 2017 Lincoln Continental is available in three trim levels: Premier, Select and Reserve. All include such standard features as Continuously Controlled Dampening (CCD) suspension, SYNC 3, an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a configurable instrument cluster, push-button gear selector, rearview camera, Active Noise Cancellation and much more.

Standard safety equipment in the Lincoln Continental includes front side-impact and side curtain airbags, SOS post-crash alert system and a driver knee airbag. Available safety features include inflatable rear seat safety belts, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert and assist system, front and rear parking sensors and parking assist.
