2018 Lincoln Navigator Debuts in New York

Last month, Lincoln Motor Company took center stage at the New York International Auto Show and revealed the all-new 2018 Lincoln Navigator, combining modern luxuries with advanced technologies to elevate the family-friendly full-size SUV.

With design elements like the turbine-style wheels and the chrome grille that are clearly drawn from the Lincoln Navigator concept that was unveiled at the New York auto show last year, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator's elegant appearance is on display at first glance. A chrome Lincoln star logo in the grille warmly glows as you approach, as part of a welcome sequence that also illuminates puddle lights, tail lights and the lower fascia. The adaptive headlights are capable of varying their light pattern based on your driving speed -- wider beams of light at low speeds, narrower ones at high speeds (to reduce glare off of street signs). Inside, ambient lighting embraces all three rows of seating.

The 2018 Lincoln Navigator is lighter than previous iterations, and features a twin-turbo V6 engine that pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and is projected to produce 450 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The SUV is available in either rear- or all-wheel drive configurations.

The 2018 Lincoln Navigator offers technology to please everyone, with a 12-inch instrument cluster that the driver can configure to display the pertinent information they want. The SYNC 3 infotainment system is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing drivers and passengers to manage music, phone, navigation and more. Second-row passengers have access to their own audio and climate controls, and there's an available rear-seat entertainment system that can display different programming on each screen. Standard Wi-Fi allows for as many as 10 mobile devices to connect.

In a release, Kumar Galhotra, president, The Lincoln Motor Company, stated, “Quiet luxury is both a look and a feeling. The all-new Navigator embodies both. The sleek styling, spacious interior and technology are all designed to make each trip effortless.”
