If you caught a glimpse of the gorgeous Continental concept last year, you're probably eager to see the final product. As Lincoln would have it, the brand showed off its 2017 Lincoln Continental at the recent 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and its innovative design and homage to its heritage have earned it top marks among critics.

Its design is bold and modern, and its shapely sheet metal hugs a 3.0-liter V6 powerhouse worth upwards of 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. It also boasts such upscale and innovative features as window-trim integrated electric door handles; heated, cooled, and massaging front and rear seats; as well as a panoramic sunroof that covers nearly the entire roof.

For Throwback Thursday, we wanted to share a MotorWeek retro review of the 1982 Lincoln Continental, so we've included it below for your viewing pleasure. We invite you to browse our current new Lincoln inventory while we wait for the all-new Continental to hit showrooms.
